At Uhlendorf Innovations, our Youth Groups initiative focuses on equipping young people with the tools, skills, and opportunities they need to improve their livelihoods individually and those of the people and community around them.

Entrepreneurship and Innovation:

Youth groups are introduced to opportunities that encourage innovation and entrepreneurship. We help organise youth together into groups that then become entrepreneurship groups. Working together with these groups, we collectively identify challenges locally and opportunities in these challenges that could be leveraged to realise economic opportunities. This process inspires a creativity ensuring that solutions are owned and championed locally bearing in mind how such solutions relate with the local and regional economies.

Health Championing and Advocacy:

With Uganda’s and East Africa’s population boosting a predominant youth constitution, grassroots level engagement through youth groups is a powerful tool in getting opinions about country crucial subjects such as health. As an organisation, these are being utilised through awareness, education and advocacy in nutrition, sexual and reproductive health, period health, water safety and security among others.

Access to Resources and Networks: 

Through targeted partnerships, we connect youth groups to critical resources, including funding opportunities, training programs, and platforms for advocacy. This ensures that young people have the tools they need to implement their ideas and initiatives.
